Birds, beasts and other creatures concern themselves with the enjoyment of external objects. Man alone is gifted with the capacity to discriminate between the transient and the permanent, and seek what is everlasting. It is the consciousness in the physical body that enables man to enjoy the pleasures experienced through the senses. Once this truth is realised, the divine nature of consciousness will become clear. Then, every action can be regarded as an offering to the Divine. Work will then be transformed into worship.

پرنده ها، جانوران و دیگر مخلوقات خود را سرگرم لذت بردن از دنیای بیرونی کرده اند. تنها انسان است که از این موهبت برخوردار شده که شایسته قدرت تمیز میان آنچه زودگذر و فانیست و آنچه جاودان است باشد و در جستجوی ابدیت برود. این هشیاری جسم فیزیکی است که انسان را قادر می سازد از لذات ِ دریافتی توسط حواس پنجگانه بهره ببرد. وقتی این حقیقت دریافته شود، آگاهی از ذات الوهیت آشکار می شود. آنوقت، هر عملی بعنوان پیشکشی به درگاه الوهیت در نظر گرفته خواهد شد. آنوقت "عمل" به "پرستش" تعبیر خواهد شد.
