Tell me your company and I shall tell you what you are. When you associate yourself with ephemeral things, the results also are bound to be so. You should develop friendship with Divinity, which alone is true and eternal. Divinity is very much present in you. The external world is subject to change. The world is nothing but a combination of matter. Everything in this world is transitory. Nothing is permanent. The unseen Atmic principle alone is true and eternal.
به من بگویید همراهان شما که هستند تا بگویم شما که هستید. وقتی با چیزهای زودگذر و فانی در آمیزش هستید، نتایج نیز مجبورند که اینچنین باشند. باید دوستی خود را با معنویت بهبود ببخشید، که خود به تنهایی حقیقی و جاودانه است. الوهیت بسیار مهیای پیشکشی برای شماست. دنیای بیرون مستلزم تحول است. دنیا چیزی نیست بجز مجموعه اتفاقات. هر چیزی در این دنیا ناپایدار است. هیچ چیز ابدی نیست. آتمای نادیدنی حقیقی و جاودانه است.

The goal of self-realisation depends upon the foundation of self-confidence. You must, therefore, first develop confidence in yourself. Without having confidence in yourself, if all the time you are talking of some power being with someone else, when are you going to acquire any power and confidence in yourself? You should consider self-confidence as the most important asset in life. Without self-confidence, you can never attain bliss. You are God yourself; God is the eternal resident of your heart.
هدف از خودشناسی وابسته است به اساس اعتماد به نفس. بنابراین بر شماست که ابتدا اعتماد به نفس را در خود افزایش دهید. بدون اعتماد بنفس، اگر تمام وقت از قدرتی که در اختیار دیگری است صحبت کنید، چه وقت خود از قدرت و اعتماد بنفس برخوردار خواهید شد؟ شما باید اعتماد بنفس را مهمترین سرمایه زندگی در نظر بگیرید. بدون آن، هیچ گاه به سعادت دست نمیابید. شما خود خدایید، خداوند مقیم جاودان قلب شماست.

If a man today is under the sway of sorrow and misery, his mind is responsible for it. Happiness and sorrow, affections and aversions, and the sensual pleasures that man experiences arise out of his mind. Since the mind is filled with the sense of duality you suffer all these. When the mind is trained to see the oneness of all creation, there will not be perversions of any kind. You should face everything in life with a smile. In this dualistic world, it is natural that gain and pain alternate. You cannot avoid it. You should neither despair when adversities confront you nor exult when fortune smiles on you. Adversity is a stepping-stone to eternal bliss.
اگر انسانی امروز تحت سلطه غم و بدبختی است، ذهن او مسئول است. شادی و اندوه، علاقه و نفرت، و لذات جسمانی که انسان آنها را تجربه می کند، اینها از ذهن او بر می خیزند. از آنجاییکه ذهن پر از احساسات دوگانه است، شما از اینها رنج می برید. وقتی ذهن می آموزد که وحدت را در همه آفرینش ببیند، دیگر هیچ گونه انحرافی وجود نخواهد داشت. باید با هر چیز در زندگی با لبخند روبرو شوید. در این دنیای دوگانه، طبیعی است که منفعت و محنت با هم در تبادل باشند. راه گریزی از آنها نیست. نباید در مواجهه با مصائب ناامید شوید و نباید وقتی بخت به شما روی خوش نشان می دهد به وجد بیایید. مصیبت و بدبختی گامی محکم بسوی سعادت جاودان است.

Wherever you may be, in whatever country, do not give room for religious differences. Adhere to your faith and your traditions. When differences between religions are given up, love will develop in you. When love grows, you can have a direct vision of God. Without love, mere verbal prayers are of no avail. Realise that love is present in everyone. It is the unifier, the motivator and the bringer of joy to all. Therefore, cultivate love. Love is the form of the Divine and God can be realised only through love.
هر جا که باشید، در هر کشوری، به تفاوتهای مذهبی میدان ندهید. به ایمان و اعتقادات خویش تکیه کنید. وقتی تفاوتهای میان ادیان بدست فراموشی سپرده شوند، عشق در شما فزونی می گیرد. وقتی عشق رشد می کند، می توانید تصور مستقیم و بی پرده از خداوند داشته باشید. بدون عشق، عبادات زبانی به تنهایی سودمند نخواهند بود. این را دریابید که عشق در همه کس حضور دارد. بوجود آورنده وحدت است، و آورنده و محرک شادی برای همه است. از این رو، عشق را گسترده سازید. عشق شکل الوهیت است و خداوند را تنها بطریق عشق می توان فهمید.

Speak the truth, speak pleasantly and do not speak unpalatable truth. These three correspond to moral, righteous, and spiritual values respectively. Man's life is the combination of these three values. Adhere to truth and righteousness. Truth is unchanging. Trikala Badhyam Sathyam (that which is unchanging in the past, present and future) alone is truth. It is said that the evil effects of Kali Age cannot shake the one whose heart is filled with compassion, whose speech is suffused with truth and whose body is used for serving others.
از حقیقت سخن بگویید، دلنشین صحبت کنید و حقیقت تلخ بر زبان نرانید. این سه به ترتیب برابر اخلاقیات، نیکوکاری و ارزشهای معنوی هستند. زندگی بشر اجتماع ِ این سه ارزش است. طرفدار حقیقت و درستی باشید. حقیقت تغییرناپذیر است. تریکالا بادیام ساتیام (آنچه در گذشته، حال و آینده تغییر نمی پذیرد) فقط حقیقت اینچنین است. گفته شده که اثرات پلید عصر کالی، نمی تواند کسی که قلبش مملو از عطوفت است و سخنش از حقیقت اشباع شده و جسمش را برای خدمت به دیگران به کار می برد، تحت تاثیر قرار دهد.
