Today, you do not find peace anywhere in the world. You see only pieces! In fact, people are breaking their heart into pieces. How then can peace be acquired? There is only one solution to this problem. Love God. Have faith in God. Surrender unto Him. Dedicate your whole life to God and carry on every activity of yours as an offering to Him. Let all your activities be helpful to others. Help ever, hurt never. If you wish to be always happy, pray for the welfare of others. This is the real Sadhana (spiritual exercise) that you should undertake. Spirituality does not mean simply doing Bhajans and performing some acts of worship. Cultivate noble qualities. Always pray for the welfare of all. It is in this context, the prayer of Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu (May all the beings of the world be happy) is addressed.

امروز، در هیچ جای دنیا آرامش را پیدا نمی کنید. شما فقط تکه ها را می بینید. در حقیقت، مردم دارند قلبهای یکدیگر را به تکه ها جدا می کنند. آنوقت چطور می توان آرامش بدست آورد؟ برای این مشکل فقط یک راه حل هست. عاشق خداوند باشید. به خداوند ایمان داشته باشید. خود را به او واگذار کنید. همه زندگی خود را به خداوند تقدیم کنید و همه اعمال خود را بعنوان پیشکشی به او انجام دهید. بگذارید همه اعمالتان برای کمک به دیگران باشد. همیشه کمک کنید، و هیچ گاه کسی را نیازارید. اگر می خواهید همیشه خوشحال باشد، برای سعادت دیگران دعا کنید. این سادانا (تمرین معنوی) واقعی است که باید بعهده بگیرید. معنویت فقط انجام باجان و دیگر اعمال عبادت نیست. خصیصه های والا در خود ایجاد کنید. همیشه برای سعادت همه دعا کنید. این (گفته) در این مفهوم آمده است، دعای: لوکا ساماستا سوکینو باوانتو (ای کاش همه موجودات در جهان خوشحال باشند).

Bodies are like bulbs and the principle of Atma is like the current passing through all the bulbs. Understand this oneness and share your love with one and all. Do not consider anyone to be your enemy. You consider the one who loves you to be your friend and the one who hates you to be your foe. In fact, there is neither a friend nor a foe. It is only your imagination. All are one. It is only divinity that expresses itself as mother, father, brother, sister, etc. Names and forms may be different, but the underlying truth is one.

جسم ها مثل لامپ چراغند و اصل آتما مثل جریانی است که از میان چراغها عبور می کند. این وحدت را دریابید و عشق خود را با یک تن و همه قسمت کنید. هیچ کس را دشمن خود نپندارید. شما کسی که به شما عشق می ورزد را دوست خود می دانید و کسی که از شما متنفر است را دشمن خود می انگارید. در واقع، نه دوستی وجود دارد و نه دشمنی. این تنها تصور شماست. همه یکی هستند. این فقط الوهیت است که خود را در قالب مادر، پدر، برادر، خواهر و غیره در می آورد. اسمها و شکلها شاید متفاوت باشند، اما حقیقت نهفته یکی است.

You see, hear, and experience many things in this world. They are nothing but the reflection, reaction, and resound of your inner being. All that you see in the outside world is actually a part of you. Consider this example. There is someone who hates you. Actually it is the hatred in you that has taken the form of hatred in him. In the same manner, adulation or denigration, good or evil are reflections of your own self. Whatever you see in the outside world, whatever you experience, be it pleasure or pain, has in fact come from within you.

شما در این دنیا چیزهای زیادی را می بینید، می شنوید و تجربه می کنید. آنها چیزی جز بازتاب، واکنش، و انعکاس خود درونی شما نیستند. هر آنچه در دنیای بیرون می بینید در واقع بخشی از خود شماست. به این مثال توجه کنید. یک نفر از شما متنفر است. در واقع این کینه ِ درون شماست که به شکل کینه ِ او درآمده است. به همین صورت، چاپلوسی و بدخواهی، خوب یا بد، انعکاس خود درون شماست. هر آنچه در دنیای بیرون می بینید، هر آنچه تجربه می کنید، چه لذت باشد و چه غم، در حقیقت از درون شما برخاسته است.

Today man is subjected to untold suffering because he lacks human values. That which has the innate capability to burn is called fire. In the same manner, only the one with human values is a human being. One bereft of human values is not a human being at all. You may be highly educated and occupying an exalted position, but if you lack human values, you will be considered inhuman. Hence, drive away evil qualities in the first instance.

از آنجایی که بشر امروز دچار کمبود ارزشهای انسانی است، در معرض رنج و عذاب ناخواسته و بی حساب قرار می گیرد. آنچه بطور فطری قابلیت احتراق دارد آتش نامیده می شود. بهمین صورت، فقط کسی که ارزشهای انسانی همراه دارد بشر نامیده می شود. کسی که از ارزشهای انسانی بری است اصلا ً انسان نیست. ممکن است شما تحصیلات زیادی کسب کرده و در مقام و منصب خاصی مشغول بکار باشید، اما اگر از ارزشهای انسانی بی بهره باشید، انسان بحساب نخواهید آمد. از این رو، خصیصه های شیطانی را در اولین فرصت از خود دور کنید.

Anyone donning a physical body cannot escape vicissitudes of life. Death follows birth and with the same certainty misery follows happiness. Sukhadukhe Samekruthwa Labhalabhau Jayajayau (one should remain equal-minded in happiness and sorrow, gain and loss, victory and defeat). Pleasure is an interval between two pains. Human life is for the purpose of investigating the Supreme Reality and not merely for eating, drinking and indulging in sensual pleasures. Every human being must make an effort to know his inner nature and understand his true identity.

هیچ انسانی که جسم فیزیکی دارد نمی تواند از تحولات و تغییرات در زندگی فرار کند. مرگ پس از تولد می آید و مسلما ً در پس خوشبختی ناراحتی می آید. سودادوکه سامِکروتوا لابالابو جایاجایو (انسان باید در خوشی و ناخوشی، سود و زیان، پیروزی و شکست، تعادل ذهنی خویش را حفظ کند). لذت فاصله ای میان دو غم است. زندگی بشری بمنظور تجربه کردن حقیقت والا و نه فقط برای خوردن، آشامیدن و افراط در لذات جسمانی است. هر انسانی باید تلاش کند تا طبیعت درون خویش را بشناسد و هویت حقیقی اش را بفهمد.

There is a fundamental principle in this universe which is the prime mover. We must make efforts to understand that fundamental principle. First and foremost, one has to turn one's vision inwards and meditate upon the Atma Tattwa (Atmic Principle) present within. This Atma Tattwa can be realized only by constant Sadhana (spiritual practice). Several people give different names to the principle of Atma Tattwa. But, it has no name and form at all. It is beyond all names and forms. It is transcendental. If you are able to understand the Atma Tattwa, it amounts to understanding everything else.

یک اصل اساسی در این دنیا وجود دارد که محرک نخستین است. ما باید تلاش کنیم تا آن اصل اساسی را بفهمیم. نخست و مهمتر از همه، هر کس باید نگرش و اندیشه خود را بسوی آتما تاتوا (اصل آتمایی) که در درونش است بگرداند. این آتما تاتوا را تنها بوسیله سادانا (تمرین معنوی) ی مکرر و بادوام می توان درک کرد. مردم مختلف اسمهای مختلفی به اصل آتما تاتوا می دهند. اما، آن به هیچ وجه اسم و شکل خاصی ندارد. آتما تاتوا ورای همه اسمها و شکلهاست. چیزی متعالی است. اگر قادر به درک آتما تاتوا هستید، فهم هر چیز دیگری برایتان مقدور و ممکن می شود.

Nobody can estimate the infinite power of God. It can only be experienced in the heart. Love is the only yardstick to measure the power of Divinity. Hence, we have to develop love to experience Divinity. You have to think of God every moment. If you win the grace of God, you can overcome any obstacle and acquire any type of wealth. Man should contemplate on God, his only saviour incessantly. The world will never come to your rescue. Sarvada Sarva Kaleshu Sarvatra Hari Chintanam (everywhere, at all times and under all circumstances, contemplate on the Divine name). There is no greater Sadhana (spiritual exercise) than this. The essence of all Sadhanas is contained in this. In the Kali yuga, chanting of God's Name is the royal path to liberation.

هیچ کس قادر به برآورد قدرت لایتناهی خداوند نیست. آن را فقط با دل می تواند تجربه کرد. عشق تنها معیار اندازه گیری قدرت الوهیت است. از این رو، ما باید عشق را تا تجربه و فهم الوهیت گسترده سازیم. بر شماست که در هر لحظه به یاد خداوند باشید. اگر توفیق او را بدست آورید، می توانید بر هر مانعی فائق آیید و هر نوع ثروتی که می خواهید کسب کنید. انسان باید به خدا بیاندیشد، او تنها ناجی همیشگی. دنیا هیچ وقت به نجات شما نخواهد آمد. ساروادا ساروا کالشو سارواترا هاری چینتانام (همه جا، در همه وقت و تحت هر شرایطی، به نام الهی بیاندیشید). هیچ سادانایی (تمرین معنوی) بزرگتر از این نیست. جوهره همه ساداناها در این جا گرفته است. در یوگای کالی ذکر نام الهی راهی شاهوار بسوی آزادی است.

Only truth and righteousness can confer peace and prosperity on the world today. Sathyam Vada; Dharmam Chara (speak truth; practise righteousness). This is the most important principle of Indian culture. Once you develop truth and righteousness, peace and love will automatically follow. Righteousness is the head of Indian culture and truth its feet. But today people have severed the head and feet of Indian culture, and are clinging on to the trunk of Artha and Kama (wealth and desire). What is the use of a mere trunk without the head and feet? People are striving to protect the country. The entire world is based on the principles of truth and righteousness. If you protect and practise truth and righteousness, they will in turn protect the country.

تنها حقیقت و درستکاری می تواند موجب آرامش و کامیابی در دنیای امروز گردد. ساتیام وادا؛ دارمام چارا (از حقیقت سخن بگویید؛ درستکاری پیشه کنید). این مهمترین اصل فرهنگ هندی است. وقتی حقیقت و درستکاری را ایجاد کرده و توسعه دادید، آرامش و عشق خود به خود به دنبال آن می آید. درستکاری سر فرهنگ هندی و حقیقت پای آن است. اما امروزه مردم سر و پای فرهنگ هند را بریده اند، و دارند به تنه ِ آرتا و کاما (ثروت و امیال) می چسبند. کاربرد تنه به تنهایی چیست وقت سر و پا نباشند؟ مردم در تلاشند که جامعه را پشتیبانی کنند. همه دنیا بر اساس اصل حقیقت و درستکاری است. اگر از حقیقت و درستکاری حمایت کنید، آنها در عوض از کشورتان حمایت خواهند کرد.

Man's life is bound by Kala, Karma, Karana and Kartavya (time, action, cause, duty). Due to the effect of the Kali age, man does not work hard; he has become lethargic. You have to sanctify your life by performing righteous action. Action is the cause for everything. It is very unfortunate that man has not understood the importance of action. He wants to lead an easy life. It is said, "Kashte Phali" (hard work alone yields rich rewards). The rewards that one gets will be commensurate with the efforts one puts in. One should recognise this truth and work hard accordingly. It is said in the Gita, "Karmanubandheeni Manushya Loke" (human society is bound by action). Nobody should waste time. Right from the time he wakes up in the morning, man should utilize his time and energy for the welfare of society. This is his main duty. He should realise that his welfare lies in the welfare of society.

زندگی بشر با کالا، کارما، کارانا و کارتاویا (زمان، عمل، سبب، وظیفه) احاطه شده. بخاطر اثر عصر کالی، بشر دیگر سخت کار نمی کند؛ او سست شده. بر شماست که زندگی خود را با انجام اعمال صالح پاک و مقدس گردانید. عمل سبب همه چیز است. این بسیار تاسف انگیز است که بشر اهمیت عمل را درک نکرده است. او می خواهد زندگی راحتی داشته باشد. که گفته می شود "کاشته فالی" (کار سخت به تنهایی پاداشی گرانبها ثمر خواهد داد). پاداشی که یک انسان دریافت می کند با سعی و تلاشی که بکار می بندد برابری می کند. هر کس باید این حقیقت را دریابد و بر اساس آن سخت کار کند. این در گیتا آمده است: "کارمانوباندینی مانوشیا لوکه" (جامعه بشری تحت عملکرد آن است). هیچ کس نباید وقت را تلف کند. درست از هنگامیکه او در صبح بیدار می شود، باید از وقت و انرژی اش برای سعادت و سلامت جامعه استفاده کند. این است وظیفه اساسی او. او باید این را بفهمد که سعادت او در گرو سعادت جامعه است.

All forms are the forms of divinity. But because of worldly feelings, man views multiplicity in unity. Man should undertake such spiritual practices that will enable him to visualise unity. The fundamental basis for the apparent multiplicity is only one. Atma is the undercurrent in all names and forms. Atma means the power of consciousness. Man is not making any effort to know the principle of non-dualism. He is carried away by the multiplicity and thus is leading a life of ignorance. Realise that the same Atma dwells in one and all.

همه شکلها، شکل الوهیت است. اما بخاطر احساسات دنیوی، بشر در وحدت، گوناگونی و کثرت می بیند. انسان باید این تمارین معنوی را بعهده بگیرد تا بصیرت یگانگی پیدا کند. اصل اساسی برای گوناگونی ظاهر فقط یکی است. آتما جریان پنهانی در همه اسمها و شکلهاست. آتما یعنی قدرت آگاهی. بشر برای شناخت اصل وحدت و نه دوخدا گرایی هیچ تلاشی نمی کند. او فریب این گوناگونی را خورده و از این رو زندگی پر از جهل را هدایت می کند. این را بفهمید که همان آتما که در یکی است در همه نیز هست.
